Former Construction Management Intern at The Walt Disney Company
over 1 year ago
It's always changing, and depending on your team you are on, you may have one project your entire time, or like me you have many projects throughout you internship. You always will go to your office, catch up on emails, contact people, ask you mentor questions. When you are ready to go out in the field amie sure you always have PPE, Disney is a 100% hard hat and safety vest on all projects. Safety goggles is a must as well. You will fill out paperwork on the job site, recording everything. Keeping track of submittals., updating schedules, lead meetings, and give progress reports. You could be stuck in your office all day, or you can be out on the field all day. It really depends on what you are working on and what your role is. You will also have intern related days with other interns. Where you can go to job sites on property, and learn other department rules within the FOS internship program.
