I liked being a copy editor because you weren’t in charge of pitches or staff writers and it is a pretty simple job. It’s nice if you enjoy proper grammar are good at reading through articles and finding mistakes. What I didn’t like is that it is a lot of stress because you are the last one to read it so most mistakes/missed corrections that go to print fall on you. Also, reading many articles a day and finding mistakes can be tedious and tiring since you have a short turnaround time from when you get it to when it needs to be done and are usually doing it later in the day.
