This depends on if your ship is out to sea or not. If you are in port, your days consist of checking in to your division in the morning and doing normal duties (i.e helping the chef on duty, working around the ship, qualifying for your warfare device) and then eventually heading to your home at the end of the day.
If you are out at sea, then you wake up (depending on what time your shift day/night) perform your duties of maintenance, inventory management, training, etc. Then eventually conclude the day and you are free to do what you want around the ship.
