Former Manufacturing Purchaser at IBM

To this point I would say yes. I know that IBM’s big market mainstay is software. When I was purchasing for them, they were still making hard-drives and other internal computer components. I am not sure if they are still manufacturing these items. They will have a procurement department either way. As a graduate you will see where the position and what you have learned all come together. IBM will train you their internal processes and these processes will educate you and benefit you throughout your career in purchasing. IBM would be a great place to kick start your purchasing career.
