I work for TPN ("The Promotion Network"), a company that creates advertisements for companies such as Hershey's, Cricket, Gatorade, and Bank of America. strictly speaking, I am a freelance copy editor, not an employee; because of this, I do not receive employee benefits. Regarding my work specifically, I work for TPN as a freelance copy editor, reviewing their clients' advertisements/promotions for future products. I proofread drafts, making sure that everything grammatical and legal reads clearly and accurately. Although most freelance copy editors use Track Changes on Microsoft Word or Google Documents to edit clients' work, the freelancers at TPN usually make changes to physical paper with proofreading marks (the infamous red marker!). On the rare occasion, we do make edits digitally, but most of the work is done on physical paper. The kinds of advertising documents I work on range from posters to pamphlets to coupons to social media posts to even presentations within the companies.
