Research Assistant in the laboratory of Professor Christian Rojas at Barnard College

First do some research and maybe read a couple of papers from the lab if you're interested and talk to people who are currently in his lab, if possible. You might not necessarily understand the research when you first read about it but it shows interest and initiative. Schedule to meet with Prof. Rojas to ask about the lab and research. For the chemistry department at Barnard, around mid spring semester, they will release a form for students to fill out who they want to work for for SRI, during the summer weeks, and that's basically how you apply to do research during the summer. If you want to do research during the year, simply ask/email him showing your interest.
