My role as a credit analyst is basically underwriting auto loans...rendering a decision (approval or denial) when the dealership submits to the bank. I was responsible for taking calls from my dealers in my designated territory and helping them with structuring deals, negotiating rates for the custs, etc. My hours involved weekends and some holidays and with having a small child, the schedule wasn't conducive to my lifestyle anymore. Although, I liked what I did, I had been doing it a long time, and I had went as far as I wanted to go in this career. Plus, mgmt made it clear there was no room for growth at that time. So, I decided to change careers as a result, and have no intentions of turning back.
