Support Specialist
Description:
Join our team to support children with autism and developmental differences in a fun, inclusive, and sensory-friendly environment. This is a hands on opportunity ideal for students in nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals in daily living activities (meals, hygiene, dressing)
Engage participants in recreational and educational activities
Assist during community outings and field trips
Help implement individualized care or behavior plans
Provide a safe, supportive, and clean environment
Communicate with supervisors, parents, and team members
Document participation, progress, or incidents as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18+ years old
CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
Ability to pass a background check
Valid driver’s license preferred
Preferred Majors/Fields:
Nursing, Psychology, Education, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Human Development
