Private Equity Analyst

Symbiome Capital Partners is a Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm focused on investing in mid-market companies that serve as the “picks and shovels” of the clean energy transition in North America. Our investment strategy targets service providers and equipment manufacturers that enhance energy efficiency, enable decarbonization,  and support grid modernization across sectors including utilities, the built environment, industrial and mission-critical infrastructure, and data centers.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Analyst to join our investment team beginning in July 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across all stages of the private equity investment lifecycle - supporting fundraising, deal sourcing, due diligence, execution, and portfolio company value creation. The Analyst will gain direct exposure to senior investment professionals, operating partners, and industry experts in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This is an ideal role for a driven individual seeking to develop deep private equity experience and knowledge of the energy transition space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research across priority sectors
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and management of CRM and deal pipeline system 
  • Support deal execution, including financial modeling, due diligence, and preparation of investment committee presentations
  • Contribute to portfolio company initiatives, including performance tracking and value creation planning
  • Help internal knowledge-building and deal sourcing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or relevant corporate development roles preferred. Recent graduates with relevant internship experience will also be considered
  • Strong financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated interest in private equity, energy transition, and/or clean energy sectors 
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused
