Founding Software Engineering (AI Platform) Internship
Duration: 8 weeks (extendable up to 6–9 months)
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: You set your hours — results over facetime
Compensation: Base + performance-based bonus; conversion to full-time possible (with equity potential)
About Filyn AI
Filyn AI is building the regulatory operating system for next-generation biotech.
We’re tackling one of the hardest technical and human problems in medicine: regulatory submission. Starting with INDs (Investigational New Drug applications), we’re replacing manual, fragmented processes with intelligent, AI-native infrastructure that brings speed, clarity, and confidence to drug development.
Think of it as the Stripe + GitHub Copilot for regulatory science — a foundation that helps lean biotech teams get therapies to patients faster, and with fewer compliance risks.
About the Internship
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role designed for technically elite candidates ready to build, ship, and grow.
You’ll report directly to our CTO — a veteran technology executive with 20+ years of experience, multiple successful exits, and deep expertise in systems architecture and team scaling. You’ll also work closely with our founder, who holds a PhD + MBA and brings cross-domain insight from science, business, and product.
We don’t do toy projects. You’ll be embedded in the real codebase from Day 1 — building production systems, contributing to core AI agent infrastructure, and solving problems that matter.
If there’s a strong mutual fit, this internship can extend or convert to a full-time founding engineer position (with equity potential depending on performance).
Who We’re Looking For
You might be a fit if you:
Are pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
Write clean, reliable code in Python and/or TypeScript
Have a strong grasp of software engineering practices, debugging, and version control
Work independently, learn fast, and solve problems without needing a full spec
Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Are excited about AI/ML, even if you’re early in your journey
Care deeply about real-world impact, not just technical novelty
What You'll Work With
You’ll gain real-world experience across a modern AI infrastructure stack, including:
AI Agent Systems
Autonomous agent design, orchestration, testing, and deployment
Integration with LLM-native tools like LangChain, GPT-4, Claude, etc.
Platform Development
Core systems in Python and TypeScript
Internal developer tools that improve velocity and safety
Production features used in live regulatory workflows
API Design & Integration
Scalable, secure, API-first backends
Integration with internal and third-party services
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps
Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and performance monitoring
Familiarity with AWS/GCP, Docker, Terraform (bonus but not required)
Exposure to distributed systems and cloud-native architecture
This role is ideal for someone who wants to go deep across the stack — from agent-level logic to backend APIs to infrastructure and observability.

Why Filyn?
Because you want more than just a “resume builder.” You want to:
Work with people operating at the highest level of technical and strategic depth
Build systems that matter—where technical quality maps directly to human outcomes
Go beyond demo-ware and contribute to real-world infrastructure
Grow under the mentorship of experienced executives, not get lost in a giant org
Take ownership. Move fast. Earn trust. And shape what gets built
Apply now if you're ready to learn fast, ship real things, and be treated like a builder — not a student.
Let’s build something that lasts.
