What you'll do at Lewer:
Roles and Responsibilities
As an IT Intern, you are responsible for supporting our in-house IT department and Managed Service Provider, ensuring that all Lewer associates remain operational with little to no disruption. You troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and provide training and support to team members.
Your Key Areas of Impact
Customer Service: You are the go-to individual within the organization for resolving any in-house hardware or software issues. You work closely with our Managed Service Provider to escalate issues, ensuring that tickets are resolved promptly and efficiently.
Administration: You manage log-in credentials for various software and cloud applications, ensuring associates have the appropriate level of permissions to complete their job duties. You onboard new associates by setting up workstations and familiarizing them with the company tech stack. Additionally, you assist with the offboarding of associates swiftly securing their hardware for repurposing.
Kaizen: You identify weaknesses or inefficiencies in current processes and recommend clear, viable changes. You collaborate on teams that are implementing new software and cloud solutions, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Managing Inventory: you assist in the upkeep of inventory management to ensure data accuracy and functionality. You generate inventory reports to support decision-making for purchasing new hardware and reviewing the annual budget.
The Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
Your work is conducted at the Lewer Administrative Offices. There is no traveling required for this seat.
You must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time, and be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. You will operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a phone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer 75% of the time. You will need to be able to lift 20 lbs.

Your qualifications:
Requirements
You hold a degree or are actively enrolled at an accredited university in pursuing Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.
Your keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities are essential. You excel at maintaining and protecting sensitive and confidential information. As a problem solver, you anticipate potential issues and plan contingencies accordingly. Your written communication is poised and professional, with strong proofreading skills and the ability to craft organizational documents. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe.
