General Chemistry Lab Assistant

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as General Chemistry Lab Assistants at Hahn Hall North. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in supporting the operations of the General Chemistry stockroom. MUST HAVE FEDERAL WORK STUDY FUNDING.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and organization of materials and equipment for laboratory experiments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and laboratory areas.
• Assist students and faculty with locating and utilizing materials and equipment.
• Help in inventory management, including restocking supplies and tracking usage.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure adherence to laboratory guidelines and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• College coursework in chemistry or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in a laboratory setting is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.
