Facilities Maintenance Technician Level 2
The Facilities Maintenance Technician Level 2 is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of commercial mechanical equipment, commercial facilities, public areas, amenities, etc. This is a visible position within the community requiring the utmost awareness of how actions and communication are perceived.
Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and repair on commercial buildings, equipment, roofs, exterior surfaces, amenities, etc.
- Performs lighting and equipment repairs using ladders and/or lifting equipment
- Sets up chairs, tables, tents, displays and decorations for events and daily activities
- Completes building inspection reports and checklists for management review
- Works in a team environment to enhance the Quality Standards of all facilities
- Maintains effective employee and public relations
- Follows work orders precisely and notates all labor and materials used
- Works safely, promotes safety in the workplace, and follows all applicable PPE procedures
- May require occasionally alternating shifts and hours to accommodate event schedules
- May be required to work at heights above 6 feet
- Must provide own hand tools to use on the job
- Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Commercial Repairs and Mechanical Maintenance
- EPA Certification or ability to obtain preferred
