Overview
Sr. Associate Cybersecurity plays a crucial role in protecting an organization’s digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats. These professionals are the defenders against cyberattacks, leveraging their technical expertise, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to ensure robust cybersecurity. Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents from various sources, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including identifying the root cause, assessing the impact, and implementing remediation actions.
- Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with other IT and security teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
- Maintain and update incident response plans and playbooks.
- Manage firewalls rule policies along with Security devices upgrades and maintenance
- Managing IPS / IDS devices
- Validate Software’s and applications and help with the approvals
- Validate Security tools installations
- Provide timely and accurate reports on security incidents, trends, and metrics to management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Monitor and analyze findings from vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
- System hardening implementation and monitoring across IT landscape
- Evaluate discovered vulnerabilities based on risk impact (CVSS scoring, business criticality) to prioritize remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with system administrators, application owners, and development teams to ensure timely patching and remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Track remediation progress and ensure vulnerabilities are addressed within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Prepare detailed vulnerability management reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a Network Security or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies and tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus software.
- Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with common attack vectors and techniques, such as phishing, malware, and ransomware.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
Salary Range
$88,000 - $122,467 a year
