Salary: $6,331.00 - $8,514.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:
- Support the programmatic/automated GIS-based Wildland Fire Assessment County parcel review process in the Forest Fire Protection Assessment (FFPA) application, ensuring the map within the application is accurate.
- Serve as the WFMD’s Application development subject matter specialist for the application for DNR WFMD’s applications, scripting, code bases, Web apps, and application extensions.
- Support WMFD’s programs, such as but not limited to Wildfire Ready Neighbors, spatial intel reporting, and meteorology, with application and GIS expertise.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in geographic information systems, computer sciences, remote sensing, cartography, geography, or a closely related Information Technology field with an emphasis in Geographic Information Systems/Science and one course in Computer Sciences.
AND Two years of professional experience in Computer Science and/or Geographic Information Systems to include: Experience writing custom Python scripts for work with general computing systems and the ESRI software stack AND Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) focused on GIS applications and familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS Online and the related field data collection mobile applications (i.e. Collector, Survey123);
OR An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
All experience can be gained congruently. - Understanding of code repos and versioning, remote desktop management, and web application architecture.
