IT Intern - Endpoint & Service Desk Support
The IT intern will work directly with the IT team to manage endpoint devices, assist with helpdesk ticket resolution, and contribute to the overall efficiency and documentation of our support workflows.
The Opportunity:
- Provide Tier 1 support to staff, including troubleshooting laptops, Office 365, printers, and networking issues
- Assist in imaging, deploying, and tracking Windows and macOS devices via Intune Autopilot
- Help manage and organize helpdesk tickets using Freshservice
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes (accounts, access, device setup)
- Contribute to internal IT documentation and SOPs
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and peripherals
- Collaborate with team members to develop automation scripts for repetitive tasks
- Participate in team meetings and receive mentorship from senior IT staff
What You Bring:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong interest in IT operations, support, or cybersecurity
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and general hardware troubleshooting
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Freshservice, Intune, and PowerShell
- Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset are a must
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical and Mental Job Requirements:
This role requires sitting, standing and walking for 8 – 10 hours a day, with repetitive motion using hands using wrists, and fingers to handle or feel objects with the ability to operate standard office equipment and software. Occasionally required to twist, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must be able to talk or hear in person, through video, and by telephone; and complete tasks in a noisy, fast-paced environment. The cognitive skills needed to complete tasks include abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for decision-making, problem-solving, and comprehending in a timely manner.
