Data Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Engineer with 4+ years of industry experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.

Develop and optimize data lake, data warehouse, and ETL/ELT architectures.

Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure high data quality, integrity, and consistency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot data-related issues.

Maintain documentation and implement best practices for data governance and compliance.
 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and at least one other language (Java, Scala, etc.).

Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi, Prefect).

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Proficiency in working with big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, Hive, or Hadoop.

Solid understanding of data modeling, database design (relational and NoSQL), and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good to Have (Certifications and Extras):

AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty

Google Professional Data Engineer

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)


Preferred Education Path:

Bachelor’s degree completed in 2020, 2019, or earlier

Graduate degree (MS/M.Tech) completed in May 2025
