CAMP COUNSELOR – RECREATION UNLIMITED

Looking for a meaningful way to spend your summer or weekends? Recreation Unlimited, a nonprofit serving individuals with disabilities and health concerns, is hiring Camp Counselors to provide daily care, encouragement, and activity support to campers in a fun, high-energy, and inclusive environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide 24/7 care and supervision to a small group of campers

Support campers with personal care, hygiene, feeding, mobility, and behavior needs

Build meaningful, trusting relationships with campers and peers

Participate in and help lead camp activities like sports, arts, nature, and music

Ensure camper safety and follow emergency procedures as needed

Work collaboratively with program staff and fellow counselors

Maintain a positive, patient, and inclusive attitude throughout the session

QUALIFICATIONS (No experience needed – we’ll train you!)

Preferred qualifications include:

Experience working with individuals with disabilities (volunteer or paid)

CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to become certified)

Available for either:
• An 8-week summer commitment (Monday–Friday, weekends off)
• Or weekend camps during the school year (Friday 4PM–Sunday 11:30AM)

Must bring:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability
• Dependability and a sense of humor

PAY & PERKS

Weekend Pay: $240 per weekend (Room & board included)

Summer Pay: $520 per week (Room & board included, weekends off!)
