Admin - Application Analyst
The purpose of this position is to provide technical support for the Department of Public Utilities business systems and software applications, to create, run and submit database queries and reports; and to update and maintain related data.
Essential Functions
- Provides end-user support for DPU business systems and software applications.
- Troubleshoots end-user problems.
- Develop SQL, database queries, and database reporting tools utilizing source control concepts and changing management procedures.
- Updates and maintains data.
- Maintains an awareness of new applications, technologies, technical methods, trends, and advances in the profession.
- Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures.
- Operates a personal computer and other electronic devices with comprehensive knowledge of Windows 10 or higher, Microsoft 365 Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, OneDrive, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and Access.
- Communicate with supervisor, other employees, vendors, and other individuals as needed.
- May be required to work after normal business hours, weekends, holidays, Standby Duty or be called out as needed 24 hours/day 7 days/week to maintain service to customers in the event of a natural disaster, emergencies, or any other disruption of service.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Programming, Information Technology, or a related field required; supplemented by three years of experience in computer programming, technical support or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- MS SQL one year preferred.
- Must reside within a radius of Orangeburg, SC that allows for a 30-minute maximum response to call outs and emergencies.
- Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Driver’s License.
