We operate two premier venues: our iconic flagship location in historic Larimer Square and a second, full-scale venue in the Denver Tech Center at The Landmark. Together, these locations bring world-class comedic talent to Denver while delivering exceptional hospitality, dining, and private events.

This internship will take place exclusively at the legendary Larimer Square location.

About the Internship:
Our Operations Manager Internship is a paid, hands-on opportunity designed to give you immersive experience in the fast-paced world of live entertainment and hospitality. You’ll work alongside our leadership team to help run one of the most respected comedy clubs in the country, learning the ins and outs of venue management, staff coordination, logistics, and guest services—seven nights a week.

Compensation:
$18.29/hour

What You’ll Learn & Do:

  • Assist with day-to-day club operations at Comedy Works Downtown
  • Inventory management, placing orders, and tracking costs
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, vacation requests, and internal communications
  • Participate in meetings and operational debriefs
  • Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of staff
  • Observe and contribute to the execution of nightly comedy shows
  • Ins-and-outs of our New Talent Night programming
  • Strengthen leadership, multitasking, and communication skills

Ideal Candidate:

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Interested in hospitality, business operations, or entertainment management
  • Calm under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Available for both day and evening shifts
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant academic program (business, hospitality, operations, etc.)

Schedule & Duration:

  • Approximately 15–20 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate classes
