Part-Time B2B Marketing and Sales Intern

Location: Manassas, VA (Hybrid)
Department: Marketing
Commitment: Part-Time (Summer Internship with Flexible Internship Length)
Compensation: $15/hour

DIRAK Inc. is seeking a driven and adaptable B2B Marketing Intern to join our team in Manassas, VA. This hybrid, part-time opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates who want to gain professional experience in digital marketing and business development within the B2B sector.

What You’ll Do

You will work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and Product Manager to contribute to DIRAK’s marketing efforts and sales support. Your responsibilities will vary based on the team’s priorities and needs, allowing you to focus on different areas of marketing and sales throughout your internship. Tasks you may take on include:

  • SharePoint Content Management: Organize, maintain, and distribute marketing resources using SharePoint to ensure team efficiency and accessibility.
  • Content Marketing and SEO: Develop and optimize B2B-targeted content, such as blog posts, incorporating SEO best practices to improve reach and visibility.
  • Social Media Support: Plan, schedule, and execute social media posts to build DIRAK’s online presence and enhance brand visibility.
  • Shortlinking and QR Code Management: Assist in implementing Bitly shortlinking strategies and manage QR codes to enhance campaign tracking and engagement.
  • Demand Generation: Support initiatives designed to attract, engage, and convert high-value leads into sales opportunities.
  • Database Prospecting: Leverage tools like Lead Forensics and Apollo to identify, research, and organize leads in marketing intelligence databases.
  • Cold Outreach: Perform outreach to unqualified or cold B2B leads through email, creating connections and opportunities for the sales team.
  • Resource Organization: Maintain and streamline marketing materials to ensure they are accessible, up to date, and aligned with team priorities.
  • Market and Competitor Research: Conduct detailed research into competitors, industry trends, and customer behaviors, generating actionable insights to guide strategy.
  • Miscellaneous Sales Support Responsibilities: Assist with occasional sales support-related duties as needed, though these tasks are not a primary focus of the role.

Each day may look different, offering you a range of experiences to ensure a dynamic and enriching internship.

What You’ll Gain

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, and eager to learn. While no prior experience is required, we are looking for the following qualifications:

  • Interest in B2B marketing, demand generation, and sales strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce professional and engaging content.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, or a readiness to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to adapt quickly and learn new digital tools, such as SharePoint, Bitly, or QR code management platforms.
  • Experience with tools like Lead Forensics and Apollo is a bonus but not required.
  • An interest in mechanical engineering or prior knowledge of access control hardware is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Experience in the German language is considered a valuable addition, but not a requirement.

Hybrid Work Structure

This position operates on a hybrid model. Candidates should be able to commute to our office in Manassas, VA, especially early in the internship for in-person onboarding and training.
