Outreach Coordinator
Community Rebuilds is seeking an organized, outgoing individual passionate about affordable, sustainable housing and equity. The Event and Outreach Coordinator supports our mission by managing events, campus activities, and outreach for our housing program and sustainability-focused workshops. This role aims to broaden access to our opportunities with a focus on equity, inclusion, and diversity. The Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Program Administration team.

Term dates negotiable 32 hours per week on average
Assignment Responsibilities
● Create promotional campaigns for events and programs
● Conducting tours of homes and campus for visitors
● Contribute to social media and graphic designing work
● Network with Universities, environmental groups, tribal communities, etc., and promote equity,
diversity and inclusion within recruitment. Table at events such as career fairs, conferences, and
community events
● Manage the Community Rebuilds ReStore. Log donations and sales
● Plan, facilitate (and manage volunteers) for events such as the Haunted House, Open Houses, pop-up
ReStores and other courses/workshops
● Assist with recruiting participants when needed
● Solicit and gather in-kind goods and supplies necessary for programs and events
● Support program participants and lead weekly group meetings.
● Serve as a liaison to provide group communication from the office to CR members
● Serve as the point person for Community Rebuilds’ campus. Assist with check in, checks outs, and
assist in housing needs. Lead residents in deep cleaning and seasonal yard maintenance projects.
● Facilitate term events such as Orientation and Closing Ceremonies
● Perform general office duties; updating documents, maintaining spreadsheets, answer phones, field
questions for the organization, etc.
● Help out on campus projects or on the jobsite when needed and workload allows.

Requirements
- Must work November 8th and 9th for a trail race. Part of our funding comes from this event.
- Education deposit: Our program is free, however, we require participants provide payment information or a check upon beginning the program. Should you not arrive, or depart the program early, we will charge a $1000 deposit onto the provided information in order to cover the lost labor and time spent fundraising for the opportunity to join us. No payment is charged unless this occurs, and if you complete the program, your payment information will be destroyed.
- As these positions are volunteer-based positions, we do not have workers comp. We request that participants have some form of health care plan set up in the case that an injury does occur. We always do everything in our power to make sure participants are safe and healthy, but accidents can happen.
