Events and Programming Fellow

Reports to: Director for Communications and Data
Location: Remote
Hours: 20 hours per week (consistent weekly availability expected; majority of hours should fall within standard business hours, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET)
Stipend: This is a stipend-based position.

Job Summary:
The Events and Programming Fellow will support the Fulbright Association’s dynamic calendar of virtual and in-person programs by coordinating logistics, managing communications, and helping to deliver meaningful experiences that reflect the organization’s mission. This role is ideal for an early-career professional interested in nonprofit programming, event planning, and member engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage logistics for webinars, conferences, and in-person events from concept through post-event evaluation.
- Coordinate with speakers, vendors, venues, volunteers, and partner organizations to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist with program development, including content creation, session planning, and speaker outreach.
- Collaborate with the communications team to promote events through email, social media, and the website.
- Track registration, attendance, and engagement metrics; collect and analyze post-event feedback.
- Help maintain event calendars and assist with internal planning and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current graduate student or individual with relevant experience through internships, volunteer leadership, event coordination, or communications roles in nonprofit, academic, or related settings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort engaging with a range of stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with Zoom, Eventbrite, or other virtual event platforms preferred.
- Interest in nonprofit work, international exchange, or community programming is a plus.
- Preferred: Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), basic design tools (e.g., Canva), or CRM/event registration tools.
