Applications Engineering Intern
High caliber, hands-on students are invited to apply for a 10-week summer internship at our San Antonio, Texas, location. A semester long experience can be considered. Candidates must demonstrate excitement towards understanding the Material Handling Industry/Markets and the use of Lithium-ion batteries in forklifts.
Responsibilities:
- Learn about Ethium by EControls batteries in the material handling industry and more
- Participate during battery installs
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure L-ion batteries work as described and meet customers’ operational needs
- Communicate product specifications, issues, and project milestones concisely and correctly to all parties involved
- Analyze problems and recommend practical solutions with flair for design to both customers and other engineers when needed
- Exercise professional discretion in judgment, customer service, and time management
- Maintain confidentiality, work independently, and perform other duties as required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., twist, bend, use hand tools, and kneel
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to maintain a full-time work schedule with overtime during the internship timeframe

Requirements:
Currently working towards a BS or MS in applicable discipline such as BSEE/EET or BSME degree with an electrical background
Previous hands-on experience, previous internship and/or project experience is preferred
