We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist who will play a critical role in driving sales growth and customer success. You'll leverage your technical expertise to support sales efforts, actively pursue new accounts, manage partner relationships virtually, collaborate closely with the marketing team to create educational and promotional content, and ensure exceptional customer service. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional advancement within our rapidly expanding organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue and acquire new accounts in the gardening, hydroponics, or consumer goods sectors.
- Follow up thoroughly on all communications and tasks related to setting up and onboarding new accounts.
- Document all interactions and communications in the CRM, qualify leads, and assign them to appropriate sales staff for prompt follow-up.
- Provide detailed technical sales support to customers and partner accounts virtually through phone calls, video calls, text, and email, guiding them through optimal product usage and troubleshooting.
- Engage proactively with prospective and existing customers to understand their cultivation requirements and recommend targeted solutions from FloraFlex's product lineup.
- Assist customers with product selection, ordering processes, and swiftly address any concerns to ensure satisfaction and facilitate repeat business.
- Support the sales team directly by providing expert technical insights, responding to customer inquiries, and effectively contributing to closing sales opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop compelling educational materials, including videos, how-to guides, FAQs, blog posts, and engaging social media content.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of FloraFlex products, cultivation best practices, and market trends to provide accurate, relevant, and persuasive sales guidance.
- Adaptive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of quickly pivoting between tasks and adapting to new systems and workflows.
- Document customer interactions, feedback, and sales insights to continuously enhance customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Plant Science, Agricultural Production, Horticulture, Agronomy, Soil Science, Greenhouse Management, or related field preferred; relevant experience also considered.
- Proven track record in sales, technical support, or customer service roles, ideally within horticulture, agriculture, or related industries.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to clearly convey complex technical information and effectively engage customers.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with change and capable of adapting quickly to new technologies and workflows.
- Proactive, results-driven approach with the capacity to bring innovative ideas to the table and execute them successfully.
- Quick learner with strong retention skills to master product knowledge and industry specifics.
