GA Position – Graduate Strategic Projects Specialist
The candidate for this position must be willing to have fun and put themselves in the shoes of potential students applying to KU’s graduate programs. The chosen individual will possess the necessary skills to assist the Director in:
- Updating the website to reflect upcoming recruitment events
- Developing and executing social media campaigns
- Inputting inquiries delivered through the RFI and email
- Creating ad hoc messages to inquiries and applicants
- Researching feeder programs in the region
Strong writing skills are a must. The Director will supervise the development of content knowledge and strategy.
Educational benefit:
Beyond the experience of being in a professional environment, the student will learn how to plan strategically around deadlines and events. They can sharpen their creative and critical skills while building relationships across campus. Their resume will reflect skills and opportunities achieved outside of the classroom, thus making them a better candidate for hiring after graduation.
Importance of position to university operations:
The duties of the proposed graduate assistantship will contribute to the enrollment growth of the institution in a thoughtful and informed manner. Their actions will provide transparency to the graduate programs we offer and how they’re administered.
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester. Please contact Kittie Pain for additional information if needed at kpain@kutztown.edu.
