Overview:
Join the dedicated team at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI) as a Psychiatric Hospital Inpatient Coordinator. This on-site role involves overseeing inpatient programs, coordinating treatment teams, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality care for patients in a state psychiatric hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inpatient treatment plans, admission processes, and quality management programs.
- Supervise and train professional and sub-professional staff.
- Audit medical records and documentation for compliance and quality assurance.
- Facilitate treatment team meetings and ensure adherence to care standards.
- Monitor patient care areas, group sessions, and treatment plans to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science or other related or acceptable field and experience equivalent to two years of full-time responsible mental health or intellectual disabilities program work.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time mental health or intellectual disabilities program work experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Graduate course work in social or behavioral science or other related acceptable field may substitute for the required experience on a month for month basis to a maximum of one year (e.g., 24 semester hours in the above listed fields may substitute for one year of the required experience). - Substitution of License for Experience: Possession of a current practical nurse license may substitute for one year of the required experience. Must be currently licensed as a practical nurse with the State of Tennessee or hold privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
