Position Overview:
DCA is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Analyst to join our New York office. As a first-year Analyst, you will play a critical role across all phases of live transactions and business development efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior bankers and entrepreneurs in the fast-moving world of technology investment banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support pitch materials and live transactions
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials including Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, buyer/investor lists, and engagement letters
- Analyze financial statements and develop operating models to assess company performance and growth potential
- Perform valuation analyses using comparable company, precedent transaction, DCF, and LBO methodologies
- Support due diligence processes and communicate with clients, investors, and internal teams
- Help identify and evaluate prospective buyers, investors, and acquisition targets
- Collaborate with deal teams to track transaction progress and assist in project management
- Participate in client meetings and internal strategy sessions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic track record in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- Internship or full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a tech-focused finance role preferred
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; prior exposure to financial modeling is highly valued
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for technology, M&A, and entrepreneurial companies
- High level of maturity, integrity, and work ethic
