Job Title: Communications Assistant - Work Study (Part-Time)
Job Summary
The School of Social Work is looking for a multitalented digital creative to tell the stories of tomorrow’s social workers and today’s leaders through creative, engaging, and innovative digital content. This disciplined and passionate student would start work immediately, working directly with the Director of Marketing and Communications, gaining insight and real-world experience in photography, videography, content editing and digital strategy.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Assists in the creation of social media content tailored to key audiences and stakeholders.
- Reviews social analytics to inform growth and engagement strategy.
- Implements social media and engagement strategy.
- Captures photography, video, and audio for digital content.
- Can design basic graphics and layouts using platforms like Canva/Adobe Express.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
SKILLS
Required
- Can strategize with a team and work independently.
- Experience creating designs for print or digital media using Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent design software
- Understanding of basic visual principles and best practices
- Commitment to producing quality work and to continuous improvement
- High degree of flexibility and problem-solving initiative
- Strong sense of curiosity and creativity
Preferred
- Experience creating compelling social media content to promote a business, brand, or organization
- Experience capturing and editing audiovisual content
