Pre-Veterinary, Veterinary Assistant

Vision Care for Animals, a veterinary ophthalmology specialty clinic in Palo Alto, is seeking qualified candidates, including Pre-Veterinary Students interested in learning veterinary assistance, veterinary assistants with prior general or specialty practice experience, and a registered veterinary technician (RVT) to join our exceptional team. Candidates must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.

Pre-veterinary students and Veterinary Assistant applicants should be enthusiastic to learn about veterinary ophthalmology, small animal care, and doctor assistance.

For our RVT position, we are looking for an experienced surgical / anesthesia tech with proficiency in anesthesia and familiarity with mechanical ventilation and outstanding patient monitoring skills. Strong anesthesia skills are a must. Previous ophthalmology experience a plus but not necessary.

Registered Vet Tech applicants should be proficient in anesthesia, phlebotomy, and IV catheter placement and have a strong emphasis on client communication.
