Office Environment and Culture – Cranwell International Center:

Cranwell International Center is a dynamic and welcoming space dedicated to supporting the holistic success and well-being of international students. Our office is split into two distinct but collaborative teams: International Student Services (ISS) and the Cranwell Programming Team.

International Student Services (ISS) focuses on immigration advising and compliance. Staffed by Designated School Officials (DSOs), this team works closely with the federal government to guide students through the technical and legal complexities of maintaining F-1 or J-1 visa status. They provide essential support to ensure students remain in good standing while pursuing their education in the U.S.

The Cranwell Programming Team, where this internship is based, develops and delivers supportive, student-centered programs that address the diverse needs of international students. Our work is broad and adaptable, often responding to urgent basic needs, offering emotional support and cultural advising, and promoting transparency around immigration policies through educational initiatives. Just as importantly, we host celebratory events that recognize the cultural richness of our international community, fostering belonging and honoring identity and achievement.

Office Size and Culture:

We are a small team that values on collaboration and cultural competence. While each team member has distinct responsibilities, we often come together across roles to support each other and co-create impactful student experiences. The office environment is student-focused, fast-paced at times, and deeply mission-driven, with an emphasis on mutual respect and shared learning.

This internship is housed within the internally-facing branch of programming, which focuses exclusively on the international student population. There will be occasional chances to work alongside ISS staff, especially when programming intersects with immigration concerns.

This is a highly rewarding environment for individuals who are passionate about cross-cultural engagement, global education, and student advocacy.]
