What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and roll out smart control systems that keep our operations safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Keep automation systems healthy and ready 24/7—with support from an amazing team.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver big-impact projects (from design to deployment).
- Create and update SOPs, system backups, and training tools for operators.
- Learn and apply process control theory (PID, cascade, etc.) in real-world systems.
- Decode technical drawings like a pro (P&IDs, loop sheets, SAMAs, etc.).
- Stay ahead of the curve—training, reading, experimenting. We invest in your growth.
- Regularly share progress, insights, and improvements with your supervisor or team.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (or something similar).
- A knack for solving real-world problems using smart systems and sharp thinking.
- Strong communication skills—you know how to explain your ideas and collaborate with everyone from ops to leadership.
- You’re curious, self-motivated, and ready to own your projects.
- Able to interpret manuals, safety rules, and tech diagrams like it’s second nature.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and confident making decisions when no one hands you a script.
Bonus Points
- You’ve worked with DeltaV or ABB systems.
- Familiar with paper/pulp or cogeneration systems? Even better.
- Root cause troubleshooting is your thing.
- Great at planning your time and juggling multiple priorities.
- You bring energy, collaboration, and next-level tech skills to the table.
