Overview 
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and foster a love for learning. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to educational excellence and possess the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. The Mathematics Teacher will work in a supportive environment, encouraging students to explore various mathematical disciplines, including trigonometry and organic chemistry applications.

Duties 

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Teach mathematics concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced topics such as trigonometry.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects.
  • Provide academic advising to students, guiding them in their educational journey.
  • Facilitate a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, integrating mathematics with other subjects such as cell biology and research methodologies.
  • Conduct research activities related to mathematics education and apply findings to improve teaching strategies.
  • Organize and supervise laboratory activities when applicable, ensuring safety protocols are followed during dissections or experiments.

Skills 

  • Strong understanding of mathematical principles and the ability to teach them effectively.
  • Experience or familiarity with research laboratory settings is a plus.
  • Proficiency in communicating complex mathematical concepts clearly to students of varying skill levels.
  • Knowledge of academic advising practices to support student learning and development.
  • Ability to dissect complex problems into manageable parts for better understanding.
  • Familiarity with organic chemistry concepts as they relate to mathematical applications is beneficial.
  • A background in private school education may enhance the teaching approach within our institution.

Salary

$41,500 plus experience
