Fall 2025 Graphic Design Internship – Harris Media
Harris Media is a premier marketing and communications firm located in Miami, Florida, specializing in digital marketing solutions for conservative political candidates, organizations, and causes.
We are looking for a talented and driven design student to join our team for the Fall 2025 semester. You will be a part of our design staff, aiding in the creation of graphics for social media, digital advertising, and splash pages. An ideal candidate would also have knowledge or experience making animations/GIFs.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Design Team to create engaging digital graphics
- Use a detailed eye for design to create high-quality visuals, while adhering to strict brand guidelines
- Attend weekly team learning sessions covering design trends and platform-specific best practices
- Learn how to apply design theory to real political and advocacy campaigns
- Observe and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to gain insight into how creative integrates with strategy
- Create layouts and compositions that support animation workflows
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and pitch creative solutions for ongoing projects
Requirements:
- Experience or interest in Republican/conservative political campaigns or organizations
- Enthusiasm for the design process and attentiveness to varying project goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong understanding and use of typography
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- After Effects knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of Sketch and InVision is a plus
Internship Details:
- Timeframe: September 15 – December 12, 2025
- Workload: 10–15 hours per week
- Location: Remote, with optional in-office work at our Miami, FL location
- Compensation: Unpaid; internship is eligible for school credit
Mentorship:
Each intern will be directly mentored by a Senior Designer or Art Director with significant industry experience. Mentorship will include weekly one-on-one check-ins, portfolio reviews, and ongoing feedback to support professional growth.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this internship, students will be able to:
- Design graphics optimized for performance across different digital platforms
- Execute visual concepts in alignment with brand and campaign messaging
- Work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced creative team
- Translate design feedback into improved deliverables under tight deadlines
- Understand how design contributes to strategic political communications and campaign outcomes
