Visual Merchandising Intern

This position is located at the Dallas World Trade Center and features a blend of physical and digital merchandising work. We operate as an in-person wholesale showroom, but are continuously working to expand our digital presence to reach more customers and improve the Dallas Rugs experience for both employees and clients!
Position is responsible for creating an aesthetically pleasing visual environment in the showroom, as well as assisting with digital merchandising, social media, and website management. Intern will also be responsible for evaluating inventory needs to facilitate the aesthetic experience in our showrooms while simultaneously performing administrative functions related to the department. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Seasonal aesthetic visual merchandising of showroom sample displays
• Creative social media marketing and help brainstorm ideas for cyclical email marketing campaigns
• Track home fashion trends and customer feedback to identify inventory needs and opportunities
• Company website management: Inputting new product, regularly updating images and news section, general maintenance
• Maintain digital database of past, current and prospective inventory collections
• Maintain rug wish list (keep up with new trends) and keep track of vendors, collections, and colors to showcase in Dallas Rugs showroom
• Assist with digitization of product tags (adding QR codes)
• Ensure all product tags are complete with all relevant information and proactively seek information to complete tags with missing information.
• Create client packets for inquiry records and frequently read through inquiries to maintain familiarity with client projects, requests, likes, needs, and personal information
• Follow up with clients and keep up with sample consignment status/history
• Familiarize self with each vendor and their pros and cons. Do they stock large pieces? Do they sell to the public on discount websites? Are they notorious for delays? Keep these details in mind when planning inventory
• Analyze best-selling products and poorly selling products to determine product benefits and drawbacks
• Spanish/English bilingual a plus
