Foster Care Caseworker
Program: Pennsylvania Foster Care and Community Programs, [Office]
KidsPeace invites you to join our mission-driven team of professionals who provide hope, help, and healing to children, adults and those who love them. The KidsPeace foster care program serves children aged 0-21 in local foster homes. The Caseworker plans, coordinates, and implements the service plans for children on their caseload:
- Autonomously and independently assist with the placement of children in foster homes; schedule regular, ongoing visits to each assigned foster home to supervise, support, motivate, and reinforce foster parents’ work with the children. Assure the children are safe in the foster home.
- Act as a child advocate and liaison with other professional service providers in the community and within the KidsPeace organization.
- Prepare and complete all documentation, reports, and additional file requirements for children and foster parents as per program policy and state mandated regulations.
- Assist with each child's reunification efforts or the attainment of permanency goals; attend and testify at court reviews.
- Participate in the on-call rotation with responsibility for independently responding to crisis and emergency placement situations during non-routine business hours.
