Education and Community Engagement Coordinator

Summary: The Houston Ballet Education and Community Engagement (ECE) Coordinator will coordinate and implement ECE programs throughout Houston and greater Harris County.  As this position involves teaching, only candidates who have specific experience teaching dance will be considered. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule ECE programs with other ECE staff
• Assist Associate Director of ECE and ECE Program Manager with the development of new programs
• Assist with program assessment to determine necessary changes, additions, or deletions
• Assist Teaching Artists with lesson planning
• Assist with Teacher Workshop planning and implementation
• Implement ECE programming as assigned
• Liaise with other arts organizations and school ISDs
• Liaise with other departments
• Liaise with Houston Ballet Guild

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of teaching dance required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word
• Experience with Google Suite
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
