Fall 2025 Consumer Insights Research Internship
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CMI Researcher Intern to join our Consumer & Market Insights team. In this position, you will collaborate with passionate researchers, designers, and engineers to understand consumer needs, identify innovative solutions, and contribute to the development of the next generation of Midea products. This internship offers hands-on experience with data entry and analysis, assisting in the design of questionnaires and research studies, managing research equipment and stimuli, and organizing data and research repositories. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to gain practical experience in market research and consumer insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Gathering, Analysis, and Synthesis:
- Assist in notetaking and documenting during interviews.
- Conduct literature reviews or internet searches to answer research questions.
- Accurately input and manage data from various research projects.
- Assist in analyzing data to uncover trends and insights.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations based on data analysis.
- Identify and connect research insights and extending those insights to business strategy.
- Questionnaire and Research Design:
- Assist in designing and developing questionnaires and surveys for various research projects.
- Support the creation and implementation of research methodologies.
- Identify new tools and platform that improve research efficiency and communication of learnings to external teams.
- Research Equipment and Stimuli Management:
- Help manage and maintain research equipment and materials.
- Assist in setting up and conducting experiments and studies.
- Organizing Data and Research Repositories:
- Maintain organized and accessible research databases and repositories.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all research activities.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be able to work on-site in Louisville, KY, and have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
- Have US Citizenship or be sponsored via CPT/OPT.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and research methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to quickly and easily summarize, integrate and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to conduct basic hypothesis testing, correlations, and descriptive statistics is a plus.
- Experience with market research analytic tools is a plus but not required.
- Experience with survey platforms (SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Conjointly) is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience in a research or data analysis role is beneficial but not required.
