The Engagement Coordinator provides administrative support to ES professional staff as assigned. This individual will be a vital member of the team responsible for engagement, annual giving, digital communications, and donor relations at Ball State University. The coordinator will perform a variety of complex assignments in support of day-to-day operations, assist with events and will assist with the engagement pipeline. This position involves frequent contact with alumni, donors, external constituents, and internal colleagues to coordinate engagement efforts within the university.
Minimum qualifications: Associate’s degree or:
1. An equivalent combination of two years of education and related experience in office administration / secretarial work or related field OR
2. Two years of related experience in office administration / secretarial work, or related field.
- Effective written and oral communication skills along with strong organization skills.
- Ability to function cooperatively with a wide variety of individuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Willingness and ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Three or more years of related experience.
- Experience working with volunteers and academic unit administration and faculty.
- Database management experience. Working knowledge of Blackbaud NXT or similar CRM.
