We're actively seeking an enthusiastic Water Resources Technician I with a proactive mindset to become a valuable part of our team.  If you're excited about helping and assisting Northern California communities, this role might be the perfect role for you.  DWR's Northern Region Office is committed to making a positive impact on the on the communities of Northern California.  As a Water Resources Technician I, you'll be part of an integral part of a team of dedicated professionals collaborating to support programs and partners throughout the region. Responsibilities will include assisting Engineers in a variety of non-professional engineering work, including installing stream gages, collecting stream stage, flow, temperature, and data at multiple stream gages; and using Acoustic Doppler Meters and other measurement devices to perform flow measurements on fast moving water.  The incumbent must be able to swim, drive on and off road, and occasionally travel on short notice and stay overnight, for several consecutive days, at field locations.

Special Requirements

Must possess a valid California driver's license to drive a personal, rental, or State vehicle to meetings, conferences, trainings or project sites. The incumbent must be able to travel on short notice and stay overnight, for several consecutive days, at field locations.
