GSOC Analyst – Physical Threat Intelligence & Access Control
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly computer-proficient and technically minded GSOC Analyst to join our team in Cary. This is not a boots-on-the-ground guard role—it’s a keyboard-based position requiring constant use of software platforms, databases, access control systems, and open-source intelligence tools.
If you are not comfortable spending your entire shift working in front of multiple monitors, typing reports, toggling between systems, and managing digital dashboards, this role will not be a good fit.
Position Overview:
As a GSOC Analyst, you will support global day-to-day security operations. You’ll monitor internal systems, assess threats using OSINT tools, manage access control reviews, and write detailed reports on incidents and persons of interest. This is a physical security–focused role involving intelligence monitoring and tech-driven systems—not cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security incidents and events in real-time using various tools and systems.
- Use open-source intelligence tools (OSINT) to investigate threats, track events, and monitor high-risk individuals.
- Manage and maintain access control systems, ensuring proper access permissions (e.g. LenelS2, Avigilon, Genetec, Verkada, Brivo, Swiftlane, etc.)
- Write incident reports, advisories, and real-time security updates using professional business writing.
- Utilize OSINT tools for threat assessment and incident response.
- Communicate professionally in writing and via chat, tickets, and emails with clients and team members.
- Conduct event monitoring through OSINT means to proactively identify potential threats.
- Utilize office productivity tools such as Google Workspace (G Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite for internal communications, report generation, and documentation.
- Stay organized while multitasking across 3–5 screens in a fast-paced, 24/7 operations center.
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent computer proficiency. Must be fluent in typing, tabbed browsing, multitasking, and learning new systems quickly.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a GSOC, TOC, dispatch, or military intelligence environment
- Comfort working with multiple software platforms and access control tools.
- Strong writing skills—able to communicate professionally in reports and email.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work rotating 8/10/12-hour shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule:
Rotating shifts that include:
- 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour formats
- Day, night, and overnight coverage
- Holiday and weekend shifts
- Overtime available
Compensation:
- $22.00 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience
- Overtime pay available
- Career growth in a growing, tech-focused GSOC environment
