SUMMARY:
As a member of the Media and Technology department, perform onsite and remote building/office/classroom technology support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visit the individual buildings, offices, and classrooms on a rotating basis to solve hands-on technical issues.
- Assist in technical troubleshooting by remote takeover or onsite visits.
- Provide general maintenance and cleaning of technology equipment (Examples: replace projector bulbs, clean computers and projectors, replace/straighten cabling, etc.).
- Assist other Media and Technology department employees with duties and projects.
- Assist in maintaining equipment inventory.
- Maintain tickets in the ticketing system.
- Respond to work emails and requests as needed, efficiently
- Recognize and escalate more complex problems to Tech II support
- Log call activity within the ticketing system
- Communicate the outcome of resolved technology issues to the individual requesting assistance
- Demonstrate specific technology for staff to support their learning and enhance their knowledge/skills.
- Serve on the District Technology Resource Committee.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Coursework in technology from a college or technical school preferred;
· Experience in an educational technology environment preferred.
