Architectural Drafter
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Residential drafter currently located in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex to join our growing Design Team!
What you’ll be doing:
- Follow the guidance, direction, and vision of the lead architects
- Produce architectural documents for permitting and construction up to our standard of detail in ArchiCAD. Scope will include cabinet drawings, MEP drawings, slab plans, space planning, and floor plans
- Participating in architectural meetings and presentations i
- Skillfully coordinate the multi-faceted aspects of designing a home in an efficient fashion
- Aid in the development of the overall vision and the intricate architectural details for each project
- Remain accountable to the success of each home’s construction per your plans
- Communicate clearly and skillfully with clients both in person and electronically
- Maintain and initiate a contemporary design that is current and creative for our homes
- Manage many projects in different stages at once within a fast-paced environment
- Understand and work within the confines, priorities, and mindset of new home construction
- Collaborate with team members in both the design and construction departments
- Interface with New Leaf’s construction department to aid in the building of each home
- Attend quality control walks for each project during construction
- Assist in submitting plans for permitting, bids, and budgeting
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of 1 year working as a residential architectural designer
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Possess an excellent understanding of current construction and architectural codes and standards
- A willingness to grow with an ever-evolving company and an eagerness to learn from others
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Must be a great listener and communicator who is able to relate to and build relationships with clients
- Extensive knowledge of reputable vendors, manufacturers, and companies in this industry
- Motivation to improve processes, bring growth, and lead with positivity and encouragement
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, ArchiCAD a plus
- Ability to problem solve and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence to both work independently and within a team
