Farmer Liaison
The Opportunity At Dyrt, we’re closing the loop on food waste by rerouting hundreds of tons of organics each week from landfills to farms. From nutrient-rich livestock feed to regenerative compost, we’re helping Southern California farmers cut feed costs, enrich their soil, and build a more circular economy.
We’re looking for a passionate, on-the-ground Farmer Liaison to grow and strengthen our regional farm network. You’ll build lasting relationships with farmers, co-ops, and agricultural stakeholders — all while playing a critical role in scaling our field logistics and impact footprint.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Expand our farm network across Southern California through direct outreach, referrals, and cooperative engagement
- Build trust with farmers, understand their needs, and serve as their advocate inside Dyrt
- Coordinate feed and compost delivery, working with operations to ensure smooth, timely distribution of highly perishable materials
- Resolve delivery and quality issues quickly and diplomatically, ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention
- Track inventory and match outbound materials with the right farms based on scale, livestock, and preferences
- Collaborate with marketing and ops to shape our go-to-market strategy, improve onboarding, and share farmer success stories
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You...
- Have firsthand farming experience or deep familiarity with livestock and regenerative agriculture
- Love being in the field — you're comfortable with up to 75% travel across the region to visit partners face-to-face
- Have 2+ years of sales or account management experience (ideally B2B), and know how to close deals through trust, not pressure
- Can manage complicated logistics without breaking a sweat — deliveries, inventory, customer feedback loops
- Communicate clearly, listen actively, and write effectively
- Are comfortable using digital tools — spreadsheets, CRMs, basic project tracking platforms
- Are a team player who enjoys working across marketing, operations, and leadership
Bonus: You’ve worked with co-ops, extension offices, or farm service organizations
What You’ll Get
- $65K–$85K annual salary depending on experience
- Equity in a fast-growing climate startup
- Mileage reimbursement for regional travel
- Opportunity to define and grow a core part of our farmer-facing strategy
- Deep sense of purpose — your work helps reduce methane, regenerate soil, and make farming more sustainable
- Weekly team lunches, warehouse field days, and access to farm-fresh compost
Reporting & Location Reports directly to our CEO
- Based in Southern California — ideally near LA, Inland Empire, or Ventura County
- In-person role with frequent regional travel to partner farms
