Secretary/Legal Assistant Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for answering occasional client calls, scheduling doctor appointments, reading & responding to emails, faxing, scanning, filling via EAMS, subpoena records, amending & filing of court documents, interact with adjusters, work within case management system (A1), working closely with clerks assigned and various office clerical duties.
Essential Functions:
- Amending and filing of court documents
- Review and respond to emails
- Requesting online panel through the DWC panel request website
- Schedule multiple types of appointments; doctor exams, AME/QME/PQME/IME appointments
- Interaction with adjusters for appointments
- Enter all documentation into case management system (A1)
- Follow direction of supervising attorney
- General office duties as directed
- Work with others in an office setting
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED
- Minimum Experience: 1 - 3 years office experience.
- Skills Required: Excellent telephone skills; professional demeanor whether working with the clients and/or staff members; typing accuracy; follow oral and written directions.
- Special Characteristics: effective verbal and written communication, active listening, time management and multitasking abilities, keen attention to detail, proficiency with computers.
