Structural (Bridge) Engineer

Are you a skilled Structural Engineer with a passion for bridge design, inspection, and infrastructure improvement? Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and lead field inspections for various bridge types
- Prepare thorough inspection reports and load ratings
- Design new bridges and produce plans for rehabilitation or replacement
- Develop construction cost estimates and detailed technical specifications
- Collaborate with CAD technicians to generate structural drawings
- Contribute to project proposals, budget development, and labor estimates
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- NBIS-certified Bridge Inspection Team Leader
- Strong background in structural analysis and design
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new engineering tools and software
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with engineers, clients, and contractors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, preferably in MA, RI, or surrounding states
- Completion of one or more of the following National Highway Institute (NHI) courses:
- Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (130055)
- Bridge Inspection Refresher Training (130053)
- Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges (130078)
- Tunnel Safety Inspection (130110)
- Inspection and Maintenance of Ancillary Highway Structures (130087)
- Familiarity with programs and protocols of MassDOT, MBTA, Massport, or DCR
