Insurance Producer Sales Internship - Ohio Ark Insurance

OIA is helping to coordinate the internship program on behalf of our member agencies. Interns will be interviewed, selected, paid and employed by the respective agency. The HR policies and guidelines of the agency will apply to the internship. The pay range will be $17 to $18/hr depending on experience and location. Students who successfully complete the internship will also receive a $500 scholarship from the OIA Foundation.

Internship Goals:

1. Learning top 3 insurance carrier platforms and working with KEAP CRM.

2. Working on insurance certifications sponsored by Ohio Ark.

3. Learning and facilitating Commercial campaigns which will include: learning how to use CopilotAI, Putting together postcard mailers, learning how to follow up on prospects.

4. Dropping off marketing materials to targeted businesses. 

Gain practical experience in the insurance industry, learning about different insurance products, their applications and the overall insurance landscape.

The agency is seeking a student interested in exploring a producer career with an insurance agency career post-graduation.

Key competencies include personal initiative, active learner, communication, relationship building, customer service, attention to detail and sales. Agencies are looking to turn internships into full time job offers post-graduation. Extended part time work opportunities may also exist post internship.
