What You Will Do

As a part of the Department of Technology Services, you will provide production and distribution services for the County. Reporting to the Production & Distribution Services (PDS) Supervisor, you will use your organizational skills to support the collection and circulation of all County mail. The work you do will help the County to effectively create and deliver a wide variety of materials.

Essential Duties

  • Perform projects relating to production and distribution services, including photocopying, blueprint printing, binding, sorting, folding, and cutting projects.
  • Weigh, process, sort, and deliver internal County mail and process outgoing mail, using efficient and effective systems.
  • Provide pick-up and delivery of mail with the U. S. Postal Service and outside vendors. Maintain knowledge of relevant postal regulations and product offerings for efficient operations.
  • Prepare and operate equipment to perform a variety of production and distribution services. Perform basic troubleshooting; refer more complex issues to the PDS Supervisor.
  • Assist Production Distribution Services Supervisor in maintaining inventory levels for production and distribution projects.
  • Maintain distribution procedures and project records. Assist with billing process by collecting, recording and verifying copy count records from agency and common use copiers.
  • Perform duties of Production Distribution Services Supervisor in their absence.
  • Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software and hardware methods, trends, and techniques.
  • Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
  • Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and a willingness to learn. Participate in a supportive work environment.

You Might Be a Good Fit If

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • Up to one year of related experience
  • A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid driver's license

Working Conditions

  • Work includes daily physical activity: standing/walking for long hours, lifting, and related activities.
  • Occasional exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions.
