Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Biomedical Engineer or R&D Lab Technician to support the operation of the YSI 2900D Biochemistry Analyzer at our Palo Alto office.
You will play a key role in the development and validation of Argus, our non-invasive glucose monitoring system.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain the YSI 2900 analyzer to run glucose and lactate assays
• Perform daily calibration, quality control checks, and routine maintenance
• Handle and prepare blood, plasma, or simulated fluid samples under standard operating procedures
• Record, review, and document data for internal testing and validation support
• Ensure adherence to GCP, GLP, or CLIA-aligned documentation standards for quality tracking
• Manage reagent inventory and lab supplies
• Assist in drafting SOPs and training new lab personnel
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience operating biochemistry analyzers (e.g., YSI, Nova, etc.)
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality control procedures
• Proficiency in Excel or basic LIMS tools for sample and result tracking
• Preferred: Familiarity with FDA 510(k) study support or medical device testing environments
Optional Skills:
• Experience with blood glucose monitoring or CGM validation workflows
• Knowledge of IRB and FDA regulatory requirements
• Ability to develop and follow standard lab protocols (SOPs)
