[Paid] Business Ops Intern

Location: This internship is in-office—candidates must be local to the Lancaster, PA office for the duration of the internship.
 

Timeline and schedule: Option to work up to 20 hours/week based on your availability. Hours must be within normal office hours—Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The internship start and end dates are flexible, but will generally run for 12-15 weeks from mid-September through mid-December.

 

What you'll do

The Business Ops Intern provides essential support to the admin team by assisting with a variety of human resources, cultural, and business operations-related tasks. This role is ideal for a college junior or senior who is social, detail-oriented, and interested in business functions and company culture. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administration while working with a passionate and collaborative team.

 

Along with working on the admin team, the intern may also assist in marketing efforts, plan company events, and shadow different departments to gain a full-spectrum view of the business. A key part of this role is helping to keep the office energized and running smoothly.

 

Responsibilities

Business Operations tasks:

  • Shadow payroll and other recurring business processes
  • Assist in performing accounting and non-accounting reconciliations
  • Collect and organize W-9s from vendors
  • Support credit card transaction entries and expense tracking
  • Contribute to various marketing projects as assigned

People Operations tasks:

  • Assist with planning and executing internal culture events including the annual company holiday party
  • Organize meals for leadership meetings and company-wide gatherings
  • Prepare and distribute employee birthday e-cards
  • Maintain snack inventory and ordering
  • Provide general support for ongoing HR projects and processes

 

Qualifications

  • Current junior or senior in a college or university program
  • Outgoing, people-first personality with a genuine interest in company culture
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Interest in HR, business operations, and office administration
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a professional setting
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets and general office tools
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Team-oriented and proactive with a can-do attitude

This is a paid internship. Compensation is based on experience level and skill.
